Getting Started

So you have made the decision to join us for Summer Write 2015. You will not be disappointed! This is going to be an incredible journey and I am thrilled we are going on it together.

Step 1:  Create your own blog.

There are several free blog sites out there, I hope you choose WordPress.com.  It will make it easier to post your comments and for others to post comments to you if we use the same blog.  Go to http://www.WordPress.com to create your own site.  The site will take you through creating a blog step-by-step, and in a matter of minutes you will have your very own blog!  Don’t forget to download the WordPress app on your iPhone or android device so you will be able to post and comment from anywhere!

Step 2:  Create a post.

When you publish your post, click on the title of your post to create the link to your post.  It will go from this:

Now you will copy and paste this link into the comments section of my blog post for the day. This will allow other readers to go directly to your writing without having to hunt for it.

Step 3:  Comment on the writing of others.

To comment, read through the attached comments to my blog post and pick a link that looks interesting.  Follow the link, read the post, and leave some feedback for that person in the comment section of their blog.
